10th edition of the International Exhibition and Conference on Technical Textiles – ‘TechnoTex 2023’ began in Mumbai.

  • The 10th International Exhibition and Conference on Technical Textiles, ‘TechnoTex 2023: Envisioning Indian Technical Textiles @2047’, was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Textiles Darshana Zardosh at Bombay Exhibition Center in Goregaon, Mumbai.
  • Technotex, organized by the Union Ministry of Textiles and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), is a flagship event comprising buyer-seller meets, an international exhibition and conference.
  • The three-day event, to be held from 22 to 24, February will provide a common platform for interaction between stakeholders across the global technical textiles value chain.
  • The Minister referred to the National Technical Textiles Mission, which has an outlay of Rs 1,480 crore. The key pillars of NTTM include ‘Research Innovation and Development’, ‘Promotion and Market Development’, ‘Education, Training and Skilling’ and ‘Export Promotion’. “The focus of the mission is to develop the use of technical textiles in various flagship missions and programs of the country including strategic sectors.”
