Padma Awards 2022
- Padma Award 2022 list comprises Four Padma Vibhushan, Seventeen Padma Bhushan &107 Padma Shri Awards.
- The awards are announced on occasion of Republic Day every year.
- Padma Awards – one of the highest civilian Awards of the country, are conferred in 3 categories, namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan & Padma Shri.
- The Awards are given in various disciplines/ fields of activities, viz.- art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature & education, sports, civil service, etc. “Padma Vibhushan” is awarded for exceptional & distinguished service; “Padma Bhushan” for distinguished service of high order & “Padma Shri” for distinguished service in any field.
- Padma Vibhushan (4) list includes
1) Ms. Prabha Atre for Art
2) Shri Radheyshyam Khemka [Posthumous] for Literature & Education
3) General Bipin Rawat -[Posthumous] for Civil Service.
4) Shri Kalyan Singh [Posthumous] for Public Affairs
