The 73rd Raising Day of the Territorial Army was celebrated across the country on 9th October to commemorate its establishment by the first Governor General C Rajagopalachari on this day in 1949.
The Director General of the Territorial Army, Lt Gen Preet Mohinder Singh paid homage to the martyrs of the Territorial Army by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial.
Territorial Army officers, families and Veer Naris called on Supreme Commander Draupadi Murmu, President of the Armed Forces. In addition, all ranks and families voluntarily participated in the blood donation camp at 124 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Sikh in Delhi.
