Telecom Engineering Center (TEC) – a technical arm of the Department of Telecom – on 10 May 2022 entered into an agreement with M/s VVDN Technologies Pvt Ltd – an Indian product engineering and manufacturing company working in various areas of technology including 5G, Networking, IoT, Cloud and Apps. signed the memorandum.
The signing of the MoU will facilitate registered startups, innovators and MSMEs working in the field of Open RAN. They are decided by mutually agreed decision between the partners involved in the MoU Vendors with Radio Conformity, Protocol and Interface testing as per prescribed Open RAN norms at concessional charges will be able to get their product tested in the existing lab of M/s VVDN in Gurugram, to enable interoperability between Open RAN components (RU/DU/CU)- Operations can be carried out in different areas. The product offered for testing shall be certified by TEC.
