17000 Indians left Ukraine under Operation Ganga on 2nd March.

The number of safe evacuation of Indian nationals from Ukraine is increasing rapidly. According to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi, about 17,000 Indians have crossed the borders of Ukraine after the advisory was issued. These include Indians who had not registered their names with the embassy earlier.

Three thousand 352 Indians have returned home in 15 flights. He said that Indian Air Force aircraft have also joined Operation Ganga and the first flight from Bucharest is likely to reach Delhi. He also said that the situation in the cities of eastern Ukraine is worrying due to the continuing violence.
