On February 14th, 2023, Akshdeep Singh broke the national men’s 20km race walk record by winning the title at the National Open Race Walking Championships in Ranchi. Priyanka Goswami, a Tokyo Olympian, emerged victorious in the women’s race. Both athletes qualified for the August World Championships in Budapest and the 2024 Paris Olympics.
