Anna Kabale Duba won the inaugural Aster Guardian Global Nursing Award 2022

Anna Kabale Duba from Kenyan nurse stationed, at Marsabit County Referral Hospital, won the inaugural Aster Guardian Global Nursing Award 2022 for supporting education and campaigning against age-old cultural practices such as female genital mutilation (FGM) in her community. Dubai CEO Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum took home USD 250,000 (approximately Ksh.29 million) in prize money at an award ceremony held in Dubai, which celebrated International Nurses Day.
