BJP-led Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra and JMM-led INDIA bloc in Jharkhand retained power in Assembly Elections

The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance achieved a decisive victory in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections, while the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led INDIA bloc retained power in Jharkhand.

    • Total seats: 288
    • BJP: 132 seats
    • Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde): 57 seats
    • NCP (Ajit Pawar): 41 seats
    • Congress: 16 seats
    • NCP (Sharad Pawar group): 10 seats
    • Shiv Sena (UBT): 20 seats
    • Others: 12 seats
    • The Mahayuti coalition includes BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP.
  • Jharkhand:
    • Total seats: 81
    • JMM: 34 seats
    • Congress: 16 seats
    • RJD: 4 seats
    • BJP: 21 seats
    • Others: 6 seats
    • The INDIA bloc includes JMM, Congress, RJD, and CPI(ML).

Polling dates:

  • Maharashtra: October 20.
  • Jharkhand: Two phases on October 13 and 20.
