- 74th National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2023 has been commenced at Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi Cantt on January 02, 2023.
- A total of 2,155 cadets including 710 girls from all 28 States and 8 Union Territories are participating in this one month long Camp.
- 19 friendly countries including USA, UK, Argentina, Brazil, Mongolia, Russia, Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Nepal, Vietnam, Maldives, Mozambique, Mauritius, Seychelles, Sudan, New Zealand and Fiji are participating.
- NCC activities like Cultural Competitions, National Integration Awareness Programmes and various Institutional Training Competitions will be carried out.
What is NCC ?
National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis as a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, engaged in developing the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. NCC Headquarter is at New Delhi. At present Director General of NCC is Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh.
