Closing Ceremony of 36th National Games in Surat on 12th October.

The 36th National Games concluded with a grand ceremony on 12th October in Surat. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar presided over the closing ceremony.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Prakash Birla, Governor of Gujarat Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Sports Minister Harsh Sanghvi, dignitaries of the sports world, and a large number of players participated in the ceremony.
On the closing day 12th October, Seva topped the medal tally with a total of 128 medals including 61 Gold, 35 Silver and 32 Bronze medals.
Maharashtra secured the No. 2 position with 140 medals including 39 gold & Haryana No. 3 with 116 medals with 38 gold.
Harshika Ramachandran from Karnataka won the Best Female Player of the 36th National Games & Sajan Prakash of Kerala won the Best Male Player of the Games award.
Around 7500 players from 36 states and union territories participated in 36 types of sports competitions organized in six cities of the state.
