Conrad Sangma took oath as the Chief Minister of Meghalaya.

  • National People’s Party (NPP) chief Conrad Sangma was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Meghalaya on 7 March.
  • Also Prestone Tynsong and Sniawbhalang Dhar took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers of Meghalaya in Shillong.
  • NPP chief Sangma took oath as chief minister for the second consecutive term after leading his party to a landslide victory in the assembly elections held on February 27, 26 out of 59 seats.
  • Alexander Laloo Hek, Dr Ampareen Lyngdoh, Paul Lyngdoh and Comingone Ymbon took oath as ministers in the 12-member new NPP-led Meghalaya cabinet.
