Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to be Chief Guest of Republic Day celebration 2023.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will be the chief guest Chief Guest on India’s 74th Republic Day.
He will be on a state visit to India from 24 to 26 January. A 180-member strong contingent of the Egyptian Army will also participate in the Republic Day parade.
This is the first time that the President of Egypt will be the chief guest of the Republic Day of India.
Abdel Fattah Sisi is a former army officer who was elected as the President of Egypt in 2014 and re-elected in 2018.
Both countries are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in the year 2023.
Egypt has been invited as the ‘guest country’ during India’s G-20 presidency in 2022-23.
