In cricket, England created history by winning their second T20 World Cup by defeating Pakistan by five wickets at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 13th November.
Led by Ben Stokes with the bat and Sam Curran with the ball, England overcame a stiff challenge from Pakistan to win the World Cup.
They are the first team to hold the ODI and T20 World Cups at the same time since their memorable win over New Zealand in the 2019 50-over final at Lord’s.
England chased down the lowly target of 138 with one over to spare. Opener Jos Buttler set the pace with a 17-ball 26, with Ben Stokes finishing the innings brilliantly with an unbeaten 52.
