The International Hockey Federation, FIH has announced the qualification criteria for the Paris 2024 Olympic Hockey Tournament for both men’s and women’s categories.
The FIH announces the qualification criteria from its headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, after they are approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the FIH’s Executive Board.
Twelve teams each in the men’s and women’s categories will play in the Olympic hockey tournament, with each team consisting of 16 athletes.
The 5 winning teams from each continental event will qualify for the continental qualification. Six teams will qualify from the FIH Hockey Olympic Qualification Tournament and 2 FIH Hockey Olympic Qualification Tournaments per gender, consisting of 8 teams, will be held in early 2024.
