FINA World Swimming Championships 2022 : Chahat Arora sets national record in women’s 50m breaststroke.

Indian swimmer Chahat Arora created a new national record in the women’s 50m breaststroke at the FINA World Swimming Championships 2022 in Melbourne, Australia on 17 December.
Chahat Arora clocked 32.91s in the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre’s 25m short course pool in top heat 2 to better her previous record of 32.94 set at the National Aquatic Championships 2022 in September. Ruta Mileutite of Lithuania topped the overall heat with a time of 29.10 seconds.
Argentine swimmer Macarena Ceballos was the last competitor to qualify for the semi-finals with a time of 30.33 s. It was 25-year-old Chahat Arora’s second national record-setting performance at the Melbourne meet.
