- The first education group meeting of G-20 countries will be held in Chennai from 31st January to 2nd February.
- The first review meeting on the preparedness of the Working Group on Education in G-20 was held in Chennai on 9 January.
- The meeting was attended by a team from Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Education, State Government and IIT Madras.
- Another review meeting with officials of Information and Broadcasting is being held in Chennai on the events related to the G-20 Summit.
