First International Conference on Common Buddhist Heritage began in New Delhi.
The first International Conference on Common Buddhist Heritage will begin in New Delhi on 14 March 2023.
It is being organized with a focus on India’s civilizational connect with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) nations by 2023.
The two-day conference aims to re-establish trans-cultural links and seek commonalities between Buddhist art, art styles, archaeological sites and antiquity of Central Asia in various museum collections of SCO countries.
Led by India of the SCO, the event will bring Central Asian, East Asian, South Asian and Arab countries on a single platform to discuss the shared Buddhist heritage. SCO countries include member states, observer states and dialogue partners, including China, Russia and Mongolia.
