G20 Digital Economy Working Group meeting will be held in Lucknow.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) under India’s G20 chairmanship is hosting the first Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) meeting from 13 to 15 February 2023 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Apart from the G20 members, India has partnered with guest countries (Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain and the United Arab Emirates) and international organizations (such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), OECD, the World Bank, UNESCO and UNDP). have been invited to participate in the DEWG meetings.
DEWG was earlier called DETF. It was formed in 2017 under the G20 Presidency of Germany.
Its objective was to create a secure, interconnected and inclusive digital economy.
The global digital economy is estimated to be $11 trillion and is expected to reach $23 trillion by 2025. The DEWG plays an important role in global policy discussions in the digital space.
