Goldsikka , with technology support from Hyderabad-based startup, Opencube Technologies, has launched its first gold ATM in Begumpet, touting it as India’s first gold ATM and the world’s first real-time gold ATM.
The capacity of the ATM is to hold 5 kg of gold. There are 8 options available for gold quantity ranging from 0.5 grams to 100 grams.
The company is planning to launch three machines at Hyderabad’s old city airport and also proposes to launch them at Karimnagar and Warangal.
Plans are being drawn up to launch 3,000 machines across India in the coming two years.
