India and Cyprus signed an agreement on defense and military cooperation.
India and Cyprus have signed several agreements in various fields including defense and military cooperation between the two countries.
A Letter of Intent on Migration and Mobility Partnership was also signed to provide a common framework of arrangements and cooperation to facilitate the mobility of students, academics, business people and professionals. It will also help in tackling irregular migration.
In the Joint Press Statement following the talks and exchange of agreements, Dr Jaishankar said the meeting demonstrates the commitment towards deepening bilateral cooperation between India and Cyprus. He said the India-Cyprus partnership is rooted in shared values of democracy, diversity and pluralism. He added that the strategic aspects of the relationship have gained new meaning in recent years.
