India has become the No. 1 ODI team in ICC rankings after 3-0 series win over New Zealand.

  • India defeated New Zealand by 90 runs in the final match of the three ODI series at Indore on 24 January 2023.
  • With this, India has won this 3-0 series. After this victory, India has reached the first position in the ICC ODI rankings.
  • Batting first in the match, India scored 385 runs for nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Captain Rohit Sharma played a brilliant inning of 101 and Shubman Gill scored 112 runs.
  • New Zealand could only manage 295 runs in 41 overs and two balls. Devon Conway scored 138 runs in 100 balls, while Henry Nicholls scored 42 runs.
  • India beat New Zealand by eight wickets in the second match at Raipur while India won by 12 runs in the first match at Hyderabad. Next, the two teams will play three Twenty20 matches. The first match will be held in Ranchi on 27 January 2023.
