- On 9th September 2022, India is the world’s 3rd largest producer of renewable energy, with 40% of its installed power capacity coming from non-fossil fuel sources.
- Electricity generation from renewable energy sources has increased from 51 thousand 226 gigawatt hours to 1 lakh 38 thousand 337 gigawatt hours in 2020.
