- Thai shuttler Kunlavut Vitidsarn won the India Open Badminton Championship on 22 January 2023.
- He defeated World No. 1 Viktor Axelsen of Denmark 22-20, 10-21, 21-12 in the men’s singles final of the India Open Badminton Championship at the KD Jadhav Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.
Women’s Singles Title :
- In the India Open Badminton Championship, Korean sensation Ann Seong won the women’s singles final at the K D Jadhav Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on 22 January 2023.
- In the final, Ann Seong defeated World No. 1 Japanese Akane Yamaguchi 15–21, 21–16, 21–12.
India Open Badminton Championship 2022 :
The 2022 India Open was a badminton tournament that took place from 11 to 16 January 2022 at the K.D. Jadhav took place in the indoor hall. Its total prize pool was US$400,000. India’s Lakshya Sen won the India Open 2022 title by defeating world champion Loh Kean Yew of Singapore in the men’s singles final on 16 January. This is Lakshya Sen’s first Super 500 title.
