India, Pakistan exchange lists of nuclear installations and facilities.

  • India and Pakistan on 1 January exchanged lists of nuclear installations and facilities covered under the Agreement on the Prohibition of Attacks Against Nuclear Installations and Facilities between the two countries.
  • The exchange took place through diplomatic channels simultaneously in New Delhi and Islamabad, the Ministry of External Affairs said.
  • The agreement, signed on 31 December 1988, provides that India and Pakistan notify each other of nuclear installations and facilities to be covered under the agreement on 1 January every year.
  • This is the 32nd consecutive exchange of such lists between the two countries.
