The successful training launch of an Intermediate range ballistic missile, Agni-IV, was carried out from APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha on 6 June, 2022 at around 1930 hours.
The successful test was part of the routine user training launch conducted under the aegis of Strategic Forces Command. The launch validated all operational parameters as well as the reliability of the system. Successful test reaffirms India’s policy of having ‘Credible minimum deterrence’ capability.
