India will organize the 12th World Hindi Conference in Fiji.

  • The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, in collaboration with the Government of Fiji, is organizing the 12th World Hindi Conference in Fiji from 15 to 17 Feb 2023.
  • External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar & Fiji Prime Minister Sitwini Rabuka will inaugurate the three-day event of the 12th World Hindi Conference in the Pacific island nation on 15th Feb.
  • The Theme “Hindi – Traditional Knowledge to Artificial Intelligence”.
  • The conference will be held in one plenary session and ten parallel sessions on Hindi in indentured countries, Hindi in Fiji and Hindi in the Pacific region, Information Technology and Hindi in the 21st century.
  • A 270-member delegation of Hindi scholars and officials will participate in the Fiji conference. Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Secretary (East) Saurabh Kumar said that representatives from 50 countries are expected to participate.
  • During the conference, Hindi scholars from India and other countries will be honored with the “Vishwa Hindi Samman” for their exceptional contribution to the Hindi language.
