• Indian Army Day is celebrated each year on 15th January,.
• On 15 Jan 1949, Field Marshal KM Cariappa took over the reins of Indian Army from General Francis Bucher.
• This day is marked by conducting a military parade & several other martial performances at Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi Cantonment.
