An Indian delegation led by the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, on 10 May 2022, visited Volcani Institute, Agriculture Research Organization (ARO), Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Israel. Experts from the field made a presentation on the topics of advanced agricultural research, precision agriculture, remote sensing and post-harvest technology before the Indian delegation. Possible areas for agricultural development were also discussed with the Indian delegation during the visit.
During the visit, Indian delegation from ALTA Precision Agriculture Company Limited was also shown a demonstration on Drone Technology – Application of Advanced Techniques and Agriculture related activities at Ganei Mine. At the end of the day, Mr. Narendra Singh Tomar visited the Desert Farm in Beer Milka, owned by an Indian-origin farmer who grew Indian vegetables in the Negev desert region.
