The Bangladesh Navy is hosting the International Fleet Review for the first time at Inani in Cox’s Bazar from 6 to 9 December.
Naval representatives from the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Australia, China, Turkey, Egypt, Nigeria, Sudan, India, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Iran, Oman, Palestine and Saudia Arabia would be present in the gathering.
Indian Navy ships Kochi, Kavaratti and Sumedha are participating in it.
IFR-22 is being organized by BN this year to commemorate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and to celebrate the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence.
The Chief Guest for the Fleet Review scheduled was the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Mrs Sheikh Hasina.
