Indian Navy conducts offshore security exercise ‘Prasthan’.

The offshore security exercise, ‘PRAASTHAN’ was conducted by Eastern Naval Command at Kakinada’s Offshore Development Area (ODA) on 12th October.
The half yearly exercise was conducted in KG Basin to validate SOPs, address various contingencies and strengthen the Command and Control Organization for maritime security.
The exercise is coordinated by the Indian Navy and involves all stakeholders in the maritime sector, including oil and gas operators, State Marine Police, Fisheries Department and Indian Coast Guard etc.
