- The Indian Navy received two MH 60R multi-role helicopters from the United States (US) at the Cochin International Airport on 28th July.
- The copters were delivered by the US Air Force’s Special Air Assignment Mission flight.
- The helicopters were part of 24 MH 60R multirole helicopters that were being procured by India from the United States at a cost of over Rs 14,000 crore.
- The 1st 3 helicopters delivered to the US in 2021 are being used for crew training of the Indian Navy. Another helicopter will be delivered on 22nd August 2022.
