- Indian pistol shooter Sameer won a silver medal in the 25m rapid fire pistol men’s junior event of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Championships in Cairo, Egypt on 17th October.
- In the medal match, the Sonepat shooter got 23 hits, behind Wang Shiwen of China, who won the gold with 25.
- Sameer had finished fourth in the qualification with 573 points and then made it to the medal round with 10 hits out of Yangpan’s 12 in the ranking round.
