Indian women’s cricket Mithali Raj announces retirement on 8th June 2022 from all forms of international cricket.

She retired from T20 in September 2019, but continued to play in ODIs & Test matches. Mithali retired as the highest run-scorer in women’s ODIs. She represented India in 232 matches scoring 7,805 runs at an average of 50.68. Mithali made her international debut in June 1999 in an ODI against Ireland. She captained India in the ICC Women’s World Cup in New Zealand earlier this year, where India failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
