Indian women’s team wins U17 Asian Wrestling Championship with 5 gold medals on 22nd June.
The Indian women’s wrestling team has won 5 medals to claim the Under-17 Asian Championship title with a total of 8 gold in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on 22nd June 2022.
India won the title with a total of 235 points from 8 gold, 1 silver & 1 bronze. Japan had to be content with the runners-up trophy with 143 points & Mongolia finished 3rd with 138 points.
In women’s wrestling matches were organized in 5 weight categories. Indian women including Ritika won gold in 43 kg, Ahilya Shinde gold in 49 kg, Shiksha in 57 kg, Priya in 73 kg and Pulkit in 65 kg silver.
