Indo-Nepal Joint Training Exercise “SURYA KIRAN-XVI” Begins at Nepal Army Battle School, Saljhandi (Nepal)

The 16th edition of Indo-Nepal joint military training exercise between the armies of India and Nepal “SURYA KIRAN-XVI” will be conducted at Nepal Army Battle School, Saljhandi in Nepal from 16 to 29 December 2022.
Exercise “Surya Kiran” is conducted annually between India and Nepal with the objective of enhancing interoperability in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations in jungle warfare and anti-terrorist operations in mountainous areas under the mandate of the United Nations.
Jawans of Sri Bhawani Baksh Battalion from Nepal Army and 5 GR Jawans of Indian Army will participate in this exercise session.
The joint military exercise will enhance the level of defense cooperation which will further boost bilateral relations between the two countries.
