INS Sumedha reached Abu Dhabi to participate in IDEX and NAVDEX.

  • Indian Naval Ship Sumedha arrived at Abu Dhabi, UAE on 20 February 2023 to participate in NAVDEX 23 (Naval Defense Exhibition) and IDEX 23 (International Defense Exhibition) scheduled to be held from 20 to 24 February 2023.
  • The ship’s participation in the two premier regional naval and defense exhibitions will showcase the strength of India’s indigenous shipbuilding and underline the vision of a self-reliant India.
  • INS Sumedha is the third ship of the indigenously built Saryu class Naval Offshore Patrol Vessel (NOPV) and was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 7 March 2014. Indigenously built at Goa Shipyard Limited, INS Sumedha is equipped with an impressive array of weapons and sensors. It can carry a helicopter and can be operational for a long time. INS Sumedha is a highly potent warship, which can be deployed for various operational missions.
