  • 16-year-old Pranesh crossed the 2500 rating threshold and became a GM after fulfilling his three criteria ahead of the Rilton Cup.
  • Pranesh won eight games and finished ahead of International Master Kan Kukusari (Sweden) and Grandmaster Nikita Meshkovs (Latvia).
  • To become a Grandmaster, a player has to achieve three GM norms and also cross the 2500 ELO mark.
