National Cinema Day was earlier announced to be held on 16th September, however, on the request of various stakeholders and to maximize participation, it was rescheduled to 23rd September.
The day has been determined by the Multiplex Association of India (MAI).
More than 4,000 screens in multiplexes across the country, including PVR, INOX, Cinépolis, Carnival and Daylight, have offered a “festive entry price” of Rs 75 to mark National Cinema Day.
