National Doctor’s Day 2022 : 1st July

When this day was first established in 1991. Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy is remembered on this day. He was a renowned physician and the 2nd CM of West Bengal. Interestingly, his birthday & death anniversary are on the same day. The day honors Dr. Roy and also recognizes everyone’s effort for the patients.

Bidhan Chandra Roy MRCP FRCS (1st July 1882 – 1st July 1962) was an Indian physician, educationist, philanthropist, freedom fighter & statesman who served as CM of West Bengal from 1948 until his death in 1962.
