National Safety Day is observed every year on 4th March with the objective of promoting safe working environment and ensuring safety of people in all aspects. National Security Day 2023 is celebrated to raise awareness about security measures and protocols to be followed to prevent any untoward incident. This year will mark the beginning of 52nd National Safety Day.

History :
National Security Day is being celebrated since 1966. On March 4, 1966, the Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India established the National Safety Council as a non-profit, self-financing body. National Safety Day was first established in 1972. National Safety Council was established in the year 2000 as a public trust under the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950.
