National Safety Day is observed to celebrate the base & foundation of the National Safety Council every year on 4th March. The National Safety Council is a non-profit & self-financing organisation running at the national level. It aims to raise awareness about safety protocols & measures that need to be undertaken seriously to avoid any type of accidents or mishappenings.
History of the National Safety Day :
National Safety Day was 1st observed on the foundation day of the National Safety Council in 1972. It was set up by the Ministry of Labour & Employment on 4th March 1965 to develop & bring into practise a voluntary routine on Safety, Health, Environment.
The National Safety Day it’s 49th year, as it continuously grows to be a widely celebrated national campaign in the country. The day is signifies the protection of society & establishing a practical mindset among people to create a wholesome surrounding.
