National Wildlife Week 2022 : 2 to 8 October.

68th National Wildlife Week is celebrated across India from 2nd to 8th October 2022. The main objective of this campaign is to promote the conservation and protection of animal life. It teaches people about animal life and encourages them to save a large number of animals by not killing them for their food or other purposes.

History :

The Wildlife Board of India established Wildlife Week in 1952 to raise awareness about the long-term objectives of wildlife conservation across India. Wildlife Day was first observed in 1955, but was later renamed as Wildlife Week in 1957. The week includes workshops for people of all ages to understand the complexities of wildlife.
