Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island given to Andaman & Nicobar Administration to promote tourism

  • Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island was transferred from the Andaman and Nicobar Command to the Andaman and Nicobar Administration for further development of the island’s infrastructure and tourism.
  • During the ceremonial ceremony, which took place on 26th July at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island, Lt Gen Ajay Singh, Commander-in-Chief of the A&N Command, symbolically presented the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman Control of Sunil Anchipaka Island.
  • He also recalled the importance of the island historically and the sequence of events associated with it.
  • He anticipated the general development of the island as a tourist attraction under the administration’s management.
