Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island given to Andaman & Nicobar Administration to promote tourism

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island was transferred from the Andaman and Nicobar Command to the Andaman and Nicobar Administration for further development of the island’s infrastructure and tourism.
During the ceremonial ceremony, which took place on 26th July at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island, Lt Gen Ajay Singh, Commander-in-Chief of the A&N Command, symbolically presented the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman Control of Sunil Anchipaka Island.
He also recalled the importance of the island historically and the sequence of events associated with it.
He anticipated the general development of the island as a tourist attraction under the administration’s management.
