- Sources said on 7th July that former NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant has replace Union Minister Piyush Goyal as the new Sherpa of the G20.
- Amitabh Kant was the CEO of NITI Aayog for nearly six years and completed his extended tenure last month.
- Goyal has served as the G-20 Sherpa of the country since September 7, 2021.
- India will assume the presidency of the G20 later this year.
