Nobel Literature Prize 2022 awarded to French author Anne Arnoux.

  • 82-year-old French writer Anne Arnoux has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for the year 2022 on 6th October.
  • The Swedish Academy has awarded the octogenarian French writer the Nobel for the courage and clinical acuity with which she uncovers the roots, mechanisms and collective restrictions of individual memory.
  • Annie Arnoux was born in 1940 and grew up in the small town of Yvette, Normandy.
  • Arnoux, 82, has seen a sharp rise in popularity in the English-speaking world since 2019, his seminal work ‘The Years’ translated by Alison L. Strayer was shortlisted for the Man Booker International Prize.
