- ICC has revealed the Men’s Associate Cricketer of Year. The award has been won by ‘Zeeshan Maqsood’ of Oman.
- Zeeshan Maqsood is a 34-year-old player from Oman who is also the captain of the team. He is a left-handed batsman & a slow left-arm off-spinner. He plays as an opener.
- In the year 2021, ‘Zeeshan Maqsood’ played 10 ODIs & 3 T20 matches. He scored 270 runs in 9 innings in ODIs this year at an average of 33.75.
- Maqsood especially flourished against PNG, recording four wickets against them twice this year, one in ODIs and the other in the T20 World Cup.
