One Nation One Ration Card

During the last 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ONORC scheme has contributed significantly in ensuring subsidized food grains to the beneficiaries of NFSA (National Food Security Act), especially migrant beneficiaries. This is a one-of-its-kind citizen centric initiative in the country, which has been rapidly implemented in a short span of time, covering around 80 crore beneficiaries, since its launch in August 2019.

The objective of this beneficiary centric highly effective scheme is to empower all NFSA beneficiaries with the objective of becoming self-reliant to ensure their food security, wherever they are in the country, thereby enabling them to access any appropriate facility of their choice through portability of their existing ration cards. Can freely pick up the subsidized food grains (partial or full) of his right from the price shop. It enables the family and members of the beneficiaries to lift the balance/required quantity of food grains on the same ration card from the FPS of their choice at their native place or any other place.
