Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti or Netaji Jayanti is a national event in India celebrated on 23 January as Parakram Diwas to commemorate the birth of prominent Indian freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
In the year 2023, the country is celebrating the 126th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
For the first time Netaji’s birth anniversary was celebrated as Parakram Divas in 2021 on the occasion of his 124th birthday.
It is a recognized holiday in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Tripura and Assam. On this day, the Government of India honors Netaji.

Netaji’ was born on 23 January 1897 in Cuttack, Odisha.
Subhash Chandra Bose was the pioneer and biggest leader of India’s freedom struggle.
During World War II, to fight against the British, he formed the Azad Hind Fauj with the help of Japan.
The slogan Jai Hind given by him has become the national slogan of India. The slogan “Tum mujhe khoon do, main tumhe aajaadee doonga” was also his, which became very popular at that time. Indians address him by the name of Netaji.
