- PM Modi laid the foundation stone of a new airbase at Deesa on 19th October at DefExpo22, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
- New Airbase of Indian Airforce at Deesa is only 130km away from the International Border. The land was allotted for the Airbase in the year of 2000.
- During the DefExpo programme, the Prime Minister also launched Mission DefSpace – to develop innovative solutions for the Defence Forces in the Space domain through industry & startups.
