President Draupadi Murmu addressed the 31st Foundation Day of the National Commission for Women in New Delhi.

The President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu attended the 31st Foundation Day celebrations of the National Commission for Women, in New Delhi on 31st January 2023.
The theme of 2023 is ‘Sashakt Nari Sashakt Bharat’
The Commission is also organizing a two-day program from 31st January to 1st February 2023, to celebrate its 31st Foundation Day.
NCW was established in January 1992 as a statutory body under the National Commission for Women Act, 1990. It was set up to review matters relating to constitutional and legal protection for women, recommend measures for legal reforms, facilitate redressal of grievances and advise the government on policies affecting women.
